Hamilton calls for FIA transparency, urging collaboration and unity among drivers while warning of intensified action if left unanswered.
With the sudden change of race director, the FIA’s lack of response to the GPDA’s letter has become another hot topic in the Las Vegas paddock, fueling significant tensions.
Lewis Hamilton warned the FIA that the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association would “hunt them down” if no response was given to its public statement.
The GPDA called for transparency on the allocation of fines collected from drivers and teams, along with a request for FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem to reconsider his tone and language.
George Russell earlier revealed that the governing body had yet to contact the GPDA regarding the statement.
Hamilton asserted that the drivers would not remain silent if the FIA failed to respond.
“If we don’t get a response, I’m sure we’ll hunt them down.”
“I know they have a lot on their plate right now, but I think it’s just to show that more than ever, the drivers are united, which might not have always been the case in the past.”
Hamilton added that the drivers simply want a closer working relationship with the FIA.
“There are certain things that need addressing, and the FIA must work better and collaborate with us.”
“We want the sport to continue to grow and improve.”
“We have nothing to gain from the comments we make about things that could be improved during race weekends, and all we’re asking for is better communication and inclusion.”
