Lewis Hamilton’s visits to Ferrari’s HQ and Italian lessons fuel speculation about his plans for a potential 2025 partnership.
In recent months alone, Lewis Hamilton has reportedly visited Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello no fewer than five times.
This is according to the sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport, which also claims the 39-year-old driver has been taking Italian lessons.
The factory visits, which were said to have the blessing of Mercedes F1 and Toto Wolff, aimed to build relationships with key engineers for 2025 and beyond, while also helping him acclimate to his new cockpit.
Ferrari even agreed to Hamilton’s request to slightly reposition the cockpit further back—a recurring complaint he has voiced since struggling with Mercedes’ ground-effect F1 cars from 2022 onward.
