Hamilton Slams Media Over Ferrari Faith Claims

Has Hamilton Lost Faith in Ferrari? He Calls It Absurd!

03/04/2025

Lewis Hamilton sets the record straight, calling reports of losing trust in Ferrari “absurd” as he focuses on team progress.

Hamilton wasn’t pleased with what he read in the Italian and English press following the Chinese Grand Prix. He quickly addressed the claims made by pundits suggesting that he was already losing confidence in Ferrari.

While speaking about his recent inconsistencies at Suzuka, the British driver firmly rejected any suggestion that he was harboring negative thoughts about his new team or the start of their partnership.

“I haven’t felt any frustration or anything like that,” Hamilton explained. “It’s just how it is. Of course, we all went through a tough time after China with the disqualifications. I was at the factory on Wednesday, and we learned a lot. We’re dealing with the highs and lows together, as a team.”

He continued, “Obviously, no one expected such a result after all the hard work put in over the race weekend. No team, no engineer, no mechanic works this hard for such an outcome.”

Hamilton then emphasized the team’s resilience: “What stands out the most to me is how the team responded—how they worked, how they analyzed the data, and how we’re moving forward from here. That’s what’s most important.”

Referring to the media speculation, Hamilton stated, “When I received messages asking if I was losing faith in the team, I found it completely absurd. I have absolute faith in this team.”

He acknowledged that expectations were high at the beginning of the season: “There was a lot of excitement earlier this year, and I’m not sure anyone expected us to win the first race or to clinch the championship in our first year. That certainly wasn’t my expectation.”

Hamilton is aware of the challenge ahead: “I know I’m coming into a new culture, a new team, and that will take time. Over the past two months, I’ve observed how the team works compared to the other two teams I’ve been with.”

Finally, Hamilton reflected on the future: “In the past week, I’ve taken notes and pinpointed areas where I think we can improve. This will continue throughout the year as we get to know each other better.”
