Haas F1 team celebrated a top 10 finish, praising strategic perfection under Ayao Komatsu’s guidance.
Ayao Komatsu, Haas F1’s director, is pleased to have a car finish in the top 10 again. Nico Hülkenberg indeed scored the point for tenth position, and the Japanese director is satisfied with how the race unfolded.
“It was incredible to score a point with Nico again,” notes Komatsu. “In terms of the race for Nico and the team – driving, operations, pit stops, it was perfection. We knew exactly what we needed to do to put ourselves in a good position to secure this point, initially against Bottas.”
“The communication and execution were good. Honestly, I think we managed to pull off a perfect race with Nico, which was great.”
Kevin Magnussen’s race was more challenging: “With Kevin, unfortunately, we were not lucky in qualifying, so we started from the back of the grid and really couldn’t run the race we wanted to. Now we look forward to Miami. I think we can draw a lot of confidence from this race in China.”
