Günther Steiner, former Haas director and F1’s favorite personality, is now the Miami Grand Prix’s ambassador, bringing his unique flair to one of the sport’s marquee events.

Günther Steiner has officially become the ambassador for the Miami Grand Prix in F1. The former Haas director, whose popularity surged during the six seasons of Drive to Survive where his strong personality was featured, is now the face of the race, which Liberty Media views as one of its showcases.

The Italian will participate in fan engagement events and will represent the Miami GP to the public and partners, held around the Miami Dolphins’ stadium, the city’s NFL team.

“I’m thrilled to be the ambassador for Formula 1’s Miami Grand Prix, which has become one of my favorite races of the year,” Steiner stated. “I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible growth Formula 1 has experienced in the United States, and it has huge potential to continue growing, especially with races like Miami’s.”

“The event, reflecting the organizers’ bold vision, combines American spectacle and F1 racing into a vibrant atmosphere both on the circuit and in the city itself. I look forward to working with the team in May for what will undoubtedly be another fantastic event.”

Tyler Epp, the Grand Prix’s CEO, welcomes this appointment to represent the race: “Günther has become a household name for F1 fans of all ages and is the perfect ambassador for our race. He embodies the competitive spirit of this sport and has a clear vision of what F1 can be in America.”

“Having someone of his experience, reputation, and candor on our side will undoubtedly add to the excitement and elevate the race weekend to a new level. Günther understands the cultural relevance of the Miami Grand Prix, and we are thrilled he has chosen Miami as the race to promote.”
