Williams F1 quashes speculation, confirming both cars will compete at the Las Vegas GP despite recent setbacks and crash concerns.
Following the Brazilian GP, team principal James Vowles publicly voiced his concerns after a series of major recent crashes for the team.
“No team on the grid can withstand five major accidents in two race weekends,” he stated.
“Simply put, the number of spare parts we have is not enough to support this level of attrition. We are doing everything possible to get two cars in the best possible specifications with enough spare parts to achieve that.”
“It’s difficult to predict what that will look like at this stage.”
During the weekend, rumors circulated suggesting Williams might only field one car in Las Vegas—or skip the race weekend altogether.
But Williams confirmed that “there is no truth to the rumors that they won’t be in Las Vegas; both cars will be ready to race in Nevada.”
“It’s an incredible effort from the team and the suppliers.”
