F1 Unites Teams for 2025 Launch in London Spectacle

Formula 1 gathers all teams in London for a spectacular live launch event celebrating the sport’s 75th anniversary on February 18.

Formula 1 has announced that a 2025 season launch event will be held with all 10 teams at London’s O2 Arena on February 18 to celebrate the sport’s 75th anniversary.

This will be the first launch event with all teams present since 2019, where the 20 drivers and their respective team principals greeted a large crowd at Melbourne’s Federation Square during a free fan event ahead of that year’s season opener at Albert Park.

The 2025 event will take on a slightly different format, designed as a celebration of F1’s 75 years since the sport’s first race at Silverstone in 1950.

The season launch event, produced by Brian Burke of BrianBurkeCreative, Stufish Entertainment Architects, DX7 Design, and production company 1826—responsible for last year’s Las Vegas GP opening and closing ceremonies—will give fans the chance to see the livery unveilings of all 10 teams, as well as hear from drivers and team representatives on stage.

“For the first time, we will bring together our fans, the 20 superstars of our sport, and some very special guests to officially launch our new season and mark our 75th year of racing,” said F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali.

“The 2025 season promises to be an exceptional one after all the twists and turns seen so far in 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for fans of all ages to experience the incredible entertainment spectacle that is Formula 1.”

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem added, “The FIA is delighted to join our colleagues at FOM and all teams to host the inaugural Formula 1 season launch event.”

“This event will also serve as an appropriate prelude to a season-long celebration of the sport’s 75th anniversary in 2025.”

Executive producer and creative director Brian Burke said, “It’s an incredible honor to continue collaborating with Formula 1 to create new entertainment experiences, especially this entirely new 2025 season launch event celebrating the sport’s 75th anniversary.”

“Through our collaboration with all 10 teams, fans can be assured that we will deliver an exciting live experience, combining the unveiling of new liveries, interviews with F1’s top names, and cutting-edge entertainment. This will be a one-of-a-kind event not to be missed!”

The event will take place from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. (in France), with tickets ranging from approximately 70 to 140 euros, going on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 15.

It remains to be seen if and which teams will hold their own individual presentations in more detail, as is customary. It’s possible the liveries may be revealed on 2024 F1 cars or hybrids.
