Formula 1 has officially announced the schedule and locations for the 2025 Sprint races, detailing management plans for next year.

F1 and the FIA have announced the Sprints for the 2025 Formula 1 calendar, with the first piece of news being that the number of these 100-kilometer races will remain the same. Indeed, there will still be six Sprints, and we now know where they will take place.

The first will occur on March 22 in China, the second on May 3 in Miami, and the third on July 26 in Belgium. As this year, there will be three before the summer break, and three after the four-week hiatus.

The fourth will take place on October 18 in Austin, the fifth on November 8 at Interlagos, while Losail and the Qatar GP will host the season’s last on November 29.

Ultimately, the only change from this year is the disappearance of the Sprint at the Austrian GP, which had hosted one for several years, and its replacement by a Sprint at the Belgian Grand Prix.

“The Sprint has been a great success for Formula 1, bringing more action and racing to all our fans on the track. We have proof of this in our audience data, in the attendance of fans on Friday, and from promoters and partners,” said Stefano Domenicali, CEO of F1.

“As we prepare to celebrate our 75th anniversary in 2025, we will always honor our incredible history, but we must always look to the future, innovate, and improve to deliver the best to our increasingly numerous and diverse fans.”

“The Sprint is an excellent example of bringing new elements to our sport while respecting the Championship, and I would like to thank the six venues that will host the Sprint in 2025 and look forward to these incredible events throughout the season.”

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, president of the FIA, welcomed the Sprint schedule for this fifth season of presence: “As the FIA Formula One World Championship will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2025, the Sprint will also enter its fifth year in the competition.”

“During this period, thanks to our close collaboration with Formula 1 and the contribution of all teams, the Sprint has undergone several different iterations, and the rules and format have evolved to give us the exciting and popular Sprints we know today.”

“The six events of 2025 will once again take place on an interesting array of circuits and will undoubtedly provide fans with a multitude of additional actions throughout the season.”
