Guanyu Zhou considers multiple racing offers outside F1 while maintaining his ultimate goal of competing in Formula 1.
Guanyu Zhou is unlikely to remain in F1 in 2025. The final seat at his current team, Sauber / Stake F1 / future Audi, is not expected to be his, and the Chinese driver is aware of this today.
Zhou has revealed receiving several excellent offers from teams in other motor racing series.
“For now, all I can say is that there are already several very good proposals from teams in other series that have approached me for a drive next year.”
“However, for the moment, of course, I still want to secure the Sauber seat, and if by chance I don’t get it, we need to consider the rest of the available options.”
Zhou is open to exploring life beyond the pinnacle of motor racing as long as it does not completely shut the door to a possible future return.
“I think the most important thing is that, wherever I go, I must ensure that the F1 goal does not close at that moment because I believe many drivers still manage to make their return to F1.”
“Therefore, we must ensure that the opportunity to participate in another series does not end my goals.”
“I think I can have a great future in other motorsports, but for now, I am still focused on Formula 1. But if that door closes, there will be decisions to make.”
