Formula 1 isn’t changing course. Stefano Domenicali will continue as President and CEO until the end of 2029, securing a fresh five-year deal with Liberty Media.
The announcement comes just before the Melbourne media day, marking the countdown to the first Grand Prix of the 2025 season. Domenicali, who took the reins in 2021, has been at the center of F1’s massive growth over the past few years.
A Sport on the Rise
Under his leadership, F1 has surged in popularity, with skyrocketing fan engagement and global demand for races. The sport has also strengthened its commercial appeal, seeing major successes in sponsorship deals, media rights, and race promotion.
Liberty Media CEO Derek Chang praised Domenicali’s impact:
“We’re thrilled to extend Stefano’s tenure and continue working with him and the talented F1 leadership team. He’s been instrumental in building on F1’s strong foundations, driving its growth both commercially and among fans.”
