Carlos Sainz From Ferrari Letdown to F1 Choice

Sainz Proudly Navigates Future After Ferrari Exit

13/06/2024

Carlos Sainz faces a bittersweet F1 transition, balancing pride and disappointment as he departs Ferrari.

Carlos Sainz may not have managed to secure his spot at Ferrari, which remains “a significant disappointment” for him, but he is at least proud that his market value is very high and he does not have to struggle to find a seat next year.

Although the Spaniard would have preferred a seat at Red Bull Racing or Mercedes F1, he is being pursued by Audi and Williams, the only two options that interest him at this stage.

Sainz and his management have also discussed with Alpine and Haas F1, but these possibilities were ruled out a few days ago.

“I can’t elaborate on my options, as I prefer not to comment because whatever I tell you, you might try to turn it into a headline.”

“Obviously, I am still very disappointed to have to leave Ferrari, just when our team is finally competitive in nearly all the races. That’s how it is, I’ve turned the page.”

“I can only tell you that all the options I have, which are on the table, are good options, and I am proud of the fact that I can choose my future in Formula 1.”

“I don’t think many drivers in their career have the opportunity to choose where they can go and spend the next two or three years.”

“Everyone I’ve talked to has given me the impression that they really want me on their team, and this makes me proud and positive for the future.”
