Alpine F1’s Bruno Famin is targeting major reforms to overhaul team strategy and enhance future performance.
Famin took over the team after Otmar Szafnauer’s departure last year and was appointed as the permanent team principal at the beginning of the season. He was previously the executive director of Renault’s powertrain division in Viry-Chatillon, France.
“My role is to restructure the team,” Famin stated.
“I was in Viry for the last two years, and now I’m primarily in Enstone, and we really need to change our way of working to better develop our car—to be more agile, to be more efficient.”
“There’s much to do. We’ve started making some changes in our technical organization, as you may have seen in recent weeks. And my role is to get everything in place, to change what needs to be changed.”
“Of course, changing the mindset of the guys, having the motivation of all the staff, but also having better processes and better organization.”
