Alpine F1 Set for Glory: Briatore’s Bold Pledge

10/12/2024

Flavio Briatore vows Alpine’s F1 success by 2026, highlighting the team’s transformation and renewed focus under Renault’s ambitious leadership.

Alpine F1 consultant Flavio Briatore revealed that he promised Renault Group CEO Luca de Meo the success of his F1 team within three years.

Briatore, who rejoined the Renault-owned team earlier this year, praised its rise to finish sixth in the Constructors’ Championship.

“This is the result of everyone’s effort, and I really want to congratulate the whole team because this is team spirit, and that’s what I want.”

“I promised Luca de Meo to deliver a winning team within three years, or thereabouts.”

Alpine became “very, very strong by the end of the season. Pierre [Gasly] did an incredible job. And Jack [Doohan] was good, for a first race, it was solid.”

“We need to stay strong together, bring in a few more experienced people to the team. But I love this new Alpine.”

“The racing team is completely transforming. Pit stops—we’re competitive now. Now, we have a real racing team. That’s what I want. We know how to produce a car, but now we’re making a fast car. And with Pierre, I’ve truly discovered a fantastic driver.”
