Valtteri Bottas has yet to reveal his 2025 plans, with discussions about a potential Mercedes F1 role set for after Abu Dhabi.
The Finn emphasized that he doesn’t feel the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be the last race of his F1 career.
“This week, I’ve started to realize that it’s almost the end – for now.”
“I still don’t think it’s guaranteed to be my last race – that’s how I feel.”
“It should be an interesting weekend. We’ll see if there are any emotions, or if everything goes as usual. Then we’ll see after.”
Bottas confirmed recent discussions with Mercedes F1 about joining the team in 2025 as a reserve driver, and possibly as a consultant to Toto Wolff.
“It’s not over, we’ll talk again after Abu Dhabi. Simply because I’m not in a rush.”
“I want to see all the opportunities available to me, but we’re still in regular contact and agreed to meet after the final race.”
“These three weeks have been busy for everyone, so it will be easier next week, but there are no obstacles or anything like that.”
“We’re both interested. So it’s just that neither side has been in a rush to finalize anything.”
