Aston Martin F1 displayed strong performance on Monaco GP’s first day, with Alonso impressing in FP2 and Stroll finishing in the top 10.
Following a challenging weekend in Imola, Aston Martin F1 bounced back on the first day of the Monaco Grand Prix. Fernando Alonso finished third in FP2, demonstrating that the AMR24 is capable of competing with the front-runners.
“It was fine, I’d love to have a crystal ball, but I don’t know,” said a reticent Alonso. “It was good to get some laps in before tomorrow’s qualifying. We need to analyze our data and see what we can do.”
Lance Stroll, slightly behind his teammate, still finished in the top 10 of the day: “We had some good laps during today’s practice sessions, so we’ll spend the evening studying the data and making the most of what we’ve learned.”
“I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s qualifying. Driving in Monaco is always a lot of fun; it’s about pushing the limits. It’s always an exciting session, so we’ll see what we can achieve.”
