Aston Martin and Alpine hit Spa for a two-day Pirelli F1 test, showcasing Vandoorne and Ocon’s skills.
Pirelli’s F1 tyre development program for the 2025 season continues.
Two test days are scheduled this week at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, with support from Aston Martin F1 and Alpine F1, which fielded Stoffel Vandoorne and Esteban Ocon respectively in Belgium yesterday.
The technical agenda focuses on finalizing tyre construction and continuing to compare different solutions for the hardest compounds.
Yesterday, the sun shone with track temperatures exceeding 50°C. The Belgian driver completed a total of 92 laps, the fastest in 1’45’’561, while Ocon completed 97 laps, with a best time of 1’44’’445.
These times are clearly unmatched by those set last weekend during the Grand Prix.
Testing continues today, with Jack Doohan driving for Alpine, while Vandoorne continues with Aston Martin.
