Operational Mastery: Alpine F1 Shines in Brazil, Webber Impressed

10/11/2024

Alpine F1’s operational prowess delivered outstanding results in Brazil, with Mark Webber lauding the team’s “extraordinary” performance.

Alpine F1’s experience was celebrated for their exemplary result at last week’s São Paulo Grand Prix.

A chaotic race in Brazil concluded with a double podium for the duo Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly.

It was an unexpected but brilliant result for Alpine F1, who had recently been battling in the lower half of the field.

“Extraordinary, absolutely extraordinary,” said Mark Webber, former F1 driver and Channel 4 consultant.

“When you endure such a long season in that midfield – Haas, RB F1, Red Bull’s sister team, Aston Martin – when big days like this come and you make significant gains in terms of results, you make a real difference in the championship standings.”

“They climbed to sixth place from eighth.”

“Their two experienced, wise heads – it’s very interesting. Esteban and Pierre did the job. The car seemed comfortable for them to drive in the rain, and the team made the right calls.”

“Operational experience – it was essential. The sporting regulations, those are important too, and Alpine F1 managed both aspects perfectly.”
