Max Verstappen skipped the Monaco screening of the F1 movie starring Brad Pitt, highlighting his disinterest in Formula 1 off-track events.

Max Verstappen snubbed the private screening in Monaco of the new feature film F1 starring Brad Pitt.

Eighteen of the twenty drivers, with Lance Stroll (Aston Martin) also notably absent, were present in a Monaco cinema last night, most adhering to the instruction to wear team attire.

The two Ferrari drivers and Fernando Alonso, however, opted for casual clothing.

But the four-time world champion and Imola winner, Verstappen, went a step further to show his disinterest: he was behind the wheel of his simulator in his nearby Monaco apartment at the very same time and streamed his race on social media.

His new Twitch username is “FranzHermann69,” a playful nod to the alias he used during his recent GT3 test driving a Ferrari on the Nordschleife.

Recently, Verstappen admitted he had declined to appear in several scenes of the F1 film – co-produced by Lewis Hamilton – alongside Hollywood icon Brad Pitt.

“It’s not something that really excites me,” said the Dutchman.

“We talked about it,” Verstappen added, referring to the invitation for multiple appearances, “but in the end, it didn’t happen. But that’s fine. That’s not why I’m here.”

The 65-time Grand Prix winner increasingly emphasizes the clear boundary he maintains between his Formula 1 work and his private life.

“As soon as I leave the paddock, I don’t think about it anymore. I stay busy. It keeps me away from gossip and potential events. I’m not interested.”
