Zak Brown hails 2024 as F1’s pinnacle, with four teams and eight drivers all vying for the championship.
What a Formula 1 season we are experiencing in 2024! With four teams capable of claiming victory at every race now, Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren, believes this season is even more thrilling than 2021.
The American, whose team took the lead in the constructors’ standings after Oscar Piastri’s win at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, may have a “biased” opinion but he owns it.
Between a very close duel between two drivers like Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in 2021 or complete uncertainty about the winner this year, Brown has made his choice.
“I think this is the best season I can remember in Formula 1 since I’ve been involved,” Brown told the Associated Press, who was at the IndyCar season finale in Nashville this weekend.
“2021 was super exciting, but it was just two guys, two good guys. Now, you have four good teams in today’s race. And we’re in it too, so I might have a slightly biased opinion.”
