Red Bull Faces Tougher Test in Mexican GP Showdown

The Mexican Grand Prix will be “more challenging” for Red Bull

Red Bull anticipates a tougher challenge in Mexico, facing fierce competition from Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren in a heated four-way battle.

Red Bull is preparing for a “more difficult” task this weekend in Mexico.

Amid a mid-season performance dip, the reigning champions worked hard during the four-week break between Singapore and Austin, managing to extend the drivers’ championship gap between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris at the U.S. Grand Prix.

Dr. Helmut Marko expected nothing less.

“Max is a bit like a squirrel, collecting every nut he sees lying around. He saw that the RB20 was at least on par with McLaren this weekend, so he set himself the goal of finishing ahead of Lando.”

“He has the experience for that, and so do we as a team. Ferrari was incredibly fast in the race; he didn’t pick the wrong battle, or he would have been more vulnerable to Lando at the end.”

However, Marko fears that this weekend’s Mexico City circuit may not suit Red Bull as well as Austin did.

“It will be more difficult for us there,” he said.

“George Russell with his Mercedes shouldn’t be underestimated; he had incredible pace in Texas with his comeback from the pit lane. For Mexico, I foresee a four-way battle between Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, and us.”

“If teams are winning in turn now, that plays to our advantage. Texas was a bit too hard on my heart, I just hope not all races will go like that!”
