Haas F1 moves up in the standings after a solid Austin Sprint, with Magnussen and Hülkenberg securing crucial points.

Kevin Magnussen delivered an impressive performance during the Austin Sprint, finishing seventh after starting eighth. The Danish driver expressed satisfaction with his result and is pleased that Haas F1 has managed to overtake RB F1 for sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship.

“It’s important for us. We were three points behind RB, and now we’re tied with them. With Nico’s two sixth-place finishes earlier in the season, we’re actually ahead,” Magnussen said after the Sprint.

“We need to keep pushing; you never know when we’ll be this competitive again. Hopefully, it’ll be the same in the next race and those after, but we have to make the most of it while we can, and that’s exactly what we did today.”

Nico Hülkenberg had to battle hard to reclaim his position from Yuki Tsunoda, securing a point despite a poor start. The German, who was running sixth before slipping back, was content with earning a point on Saturday.

“I had a bad start, and being on the inside didn’t help. I gained two positions, but then spent time behind Yuki, which degraded our tyres. Still, it was a strong team performance, and it’s good to be rewarded with a point on Saturday,” Hülkenberg said.
