Scuderia Eager for Strong Return Post-Break

Leclerc Stands Firm in Faith with Vasseur and Ferrari

Leclerc’s unwavering trust in Vasseur fuels Ferrari’s ambition for a robust post-break revival.

Charles Leclerc has reiterated his confidence in Frédéric Vasseur, the team principal of Ferrari, highlighting the Frenchman’s foremost strength as a leader.

The Italian team kicked off the current season on a high note, securing several podium finishes and clinching victory at the Australian Grand Prix. Leclerc also triumphed in his home race in Monaco before experiencing a dip in performance.

The Monegasque driver last returned to the podium in Belgium, benefiting from the disqualification of George Russell.

Although Ferrari currently appears to be fourth in the pecking order, Leclerc stated his unwavering confidence in Vasseur remains intact.

“I have always said that I have 200% confidence in Fred.”

“He has introduced a new mentality to the team, where he has taken care of each individual within the team to try and place people in the best possible conditions to extract their maximum potential.”

“I think that’s Fred’s greatest strength, in addition to being very skilled at analyzing critical situations.”

“It can be very easy in F1, when things go terribly wrong, to lump everything together and say: ‘Oh my God, everything we are doing is wrong.'”

“However, Fred has a very good analytical approach to this, pinpointing and steering the team in the right direction during these critical moments. That’s super important.”

“I am sure we will see the benefits very soon.”

The Monegasque asserts that the morale within the Maranello-based team has not deteriorated following the recent downturn and the return of rebounds.

“We are on the right track and it does not demotivate us. It motivates us even more to return to a good level of performance and to recapture the most beautiful trophy.”

“So yes, there is great motivation within the team and I hope that this difficult period will be as short as possible.”

However, Leclerc cautioned that the ongoing summer break will not provide an opportunity to reverse Ferrari’s fortunes.

“I don’t think the break will help us because everything is shut down, so it will all be about holidays and recharging batteries.”

“However, as soon as possible, we will try to work on the new parts, but I can’t tell you when they will arrive, and we don’t even know when they will arrive.”

“We are working hard to try and implement them as soon as possible and then, depending on when they arrive, that will tell us in which races we will start to see the light at the end of our tunnel.”
