Aston Martin F1 confirms Enrico Cardile’s 2025 start, leaving Dan Fallows’ future uncertain.
Aston Martin F1 has confirmed the news we provided this morning, namely the appointment of Enrico Cardile as Chief Technical Director, as the team continues its ambition to compete for race wins and world championships.
Enrico Cardile will join the team in 2025 as Chief Technical Director in a new role that further strengthens the senior technical group of the Silverstone-based team. Cardile brings extensive Formula 1 experience to Aston Martin, having previously served as Technical Director for Chassis and Aerodynamics at Ferrari.
“I am eager to join Aston Martin Aramco. The ambition and desire are clear, and it is a unique opportunity to be part of this journey. It is both a personal and professional challenge, and I look forward to working with the team to bring success to this iconic brand.”
Aston Martin F1 does not specify what will become of Dan Fallows, who held the title of Technical Director, a position that would now be under Cardile’s responsibility. However, rumours suggest Fallows might join Ferrari alongside Adrian Newey.
“I welcome Enrico to Aston Martin Aramco as we seek to strengthen our technical leadership team ahead of significant regulatory changes in 2026,” comments Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of the Aston Martin team.
“I am thrilled that we continue to attract world-class talent to our team. Enrico shares my motivation to succeed in F1 and will have all the necessary resources to realize this ambition. With Andy Cowell joining the group as CEO in October and our current leaders, we are creating a formidable team.”
Mike Krack, Team Principal of Aston Martin F1, concludes: “I am delighted to welcome Enrico to Aston Martin Aramco. Enrico has nearly 20 years of experience at Ferrari and will bring a fresh perspective to our technical strategy. This is a key appointment for the team as we prepare for the new 2026 regulations – a significant next step in our journey.”
