The 2023 car of AlphaTauri has hit the track, making it the seventh Formula 1 team to do so.

On Tuesday, Yuki Tsunoda took the AT04 for its initial laps as AlphaTauri began its shakedown at Misano.

During AlphaTauri’s launch event last Saturday night, the car was only revealed in renders. However, a show car featuring the new livery was used for the in-person event held in New York.

Nyck de Vries, the 2021 Formula E and 2019 Formula 2 champion, has earned a full-time chance in F1 this year and will be joining Yuki Tsunoda at AlphaTauri. He impressed during his stand-in appearance for Williams at last year’s Italian Grand Prix.

With AlphaTauri completing their shakedown, Mercedes, McLaren, and Aston Martin are now the only teams who haven’t conducted shakedowns of their new cars yet. However, Mercedes is scheduled to do so on Wednesday as part of their launch day, while McLaren and Aston Martin are expected to follow suit soon after their launches on Monday.

Red Bull hosted a launch event but did not unveil a realistic 2023 car. They also did not release any imagery from their shakedown last Friday. As a result, the pre-season testing is expected to be the first opportunity to see their actual new design.

Alpine has already run its car at Silverstone on Monday, but the team is scheduled to reveal it in London on Thursday night.

Haas and Williams unveiled new liveries on old cars before testing their 2023 machines at Silverstone on Saturday and Monday, respectively. Alfa Romeo, on the other hand, conducted two days of ‘filming day‘ running at Barcelona last Friday and Saturday.

After revealing its 2023 car at Fiorano on Tuesday morning, Ferrari conducted demonstration runs with the SF-23 on its test track immediately.
