F1 Sidepod – Bold AMR23 development approach

In response to a question from F1Lead, Dan Fallows stated, “The sidepods are a noticeable area of change, but I wouldn’t say that was our main focus. There are improvements and changes made throughout the entire car. There’s a lot that you can’t see with the naked eye.”

Fallows went on to say, “Beneath the surface, there are substantial engineering improvements made to many of the mechanical components and the aerodynamics. There are also other aspects of the aerodynamics that we’re hoping won’t be immediately noticeable.

Fallows concluded by saying, “So while the sidepods are a noticeable change from an appearance perspective, they are just one of the areas we’ve worked on. However, as you correctly pointed out, it does demonstrate the aggressive approach we’ve taken towards developing this car.”
