Alpine F1 Team Tests its 2023 Formula One Racing Car

Alpine has finished testing its 2023 Formula 1 vehicle, the A523, prior to its official release this week.
Renault’s official racing team will unveil the car on Thursday evening during a event held in London.
Prior to its official reveal, the Renault team tested its 2023 race car along with Williams at Silverstone on Monday.
Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, who is a new addition to the team, divided the 100 km testing distance between themselves during the promotional filming day. This event, which allows teams to showcase their cars, is held twice a year.
Alpine reported that the car ran smoothly without encountering any problems, as Ocon drove first followed by Gasly. The Technical Director, Matt Harman, regarded it as “another accomplishment achieved”.

Harman expressed his satisfaction with the smooth running of the day, saying, “I’m pleased the day ran so smoothly.”
According to Harman, “Esteban drove first thing in the morning to verify that all systems were functioning correctly and to complete the standard installation procedures for the car.”
Harman continued, “Later in the afternoon, Pierre got behind the wheel of the A523 for the first time and completed eight consistent laps to get an initial sense of his new environment.”
Harman concluded, “These filming days are of course restricted and not indicative of the car’s full performance, but we’ve had a successful day and are now looking forward to further testing in Bahrain where we anticipate continuing our evaluation of the 2023 car.”
Alpine aims to have a strong start to the new racing season with its drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon. Despite facing stiff competition, Alpine was able to outperform McLaren and secure fourth place among the constructors last season, with only Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes finishing ahead.
