Haas unveils 2023 F1 car

Haas has unveiled the first glimpse of its 2023 Formula One car, with a shakedown planned for Saturday at Silverstone.

Haas was the first team to showcase its livery for the upcoming season, however, they had made it clear that the initial images were of the 2022 car and not the 2023 model.

As the team gears up for a filming day at Silverstone, Haas has now revealed the new VF-23 through photos taken at their factory.

The new car, captured in photos with the team’s staff and drivers Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg, exhibits notable modifications from the previous year’s racing machine.

While the drivers were strategically positioned to conceal key performance aspects and the front wing was not visible in detail, the car appears to feature redesigned sidepods and incorporates a Ferrari-style floor step, which was present in the F1-75 but was not utilized by Haas in the previous season.

An additional photo featuring the two drivers with team boss Gunther Steiner hints that Haas may have altered the area surrounding the roll hoop.

Entering 2023, Haas is riding high on the heels of a promising performance in the previous season, where despite some inconsistent form, they were able to secure eighth place in the constructors’ championship.

A series of impressive showings at the beginning of the season led to Haas securing a new title sponsorship agreement with Moneygram, which will boost their budget for the 2023 race season.
