Ferrari unveils the name of its 2023 F1 racing car

Ferrari has unveiled the name of its 2023 F1 car.
Prior to its launch next week, the Italian team confirmed that the 2023 car will be named the SF-23.
The car’s name reverts back to the “SF” format, representing Scuderia Ferrari, that has been utilized since 2015.
The only exception was the car from last year, named the F1-75 in celebration of 75 years since the release of Ferrari’s first production vehicle.
Going into the 2023 season, Ferrari aims to build on its performance from 2022, when it regained the top spot of the podium after two challenging seasons.
Charles Leclerc earned three Grand Prix victories, while Carlos Sainz achieved his first Formula One win at Silverstone.
However, the team’s championship aspirations were hindered by mistakes on the track, faulty strategies, and reliability issues.
Leclerc and Sainz will continue to drive for Ferrari this year, both under contract until the end of the 2024 season.
The 2023 car will be officially launched on February 14th.
Ferrari has been busy preparing for the upcoming season, recently releasing a video showing the SF-23 being brought to life for the first time.
Following the departure of Mattia Binotto at the end of last year, Ferrari has appointed Frederic Vasseur as the new Team Principal to manage operations.
Ferrari’s 2023 season marks their debut with Frederic Vasseur as the new team leader. Vasseur, formerly the head of Sauber and Alfa Romeo, will take the helm at Ferrari after Mattia Binotto stepped down due to the team’s underwhelming performance in the latter half of the previous championship.
Ferrari will continue to field drivers Leclerc and Sainz for a third consecutive year.
