Charles Leclerc ends the Fiorano test in the SF21 car

On the last day of Ferrari’s annual “wake-up” test, Charles Leclerc, a Ferrari driver, drove the SF21 car.
Leclerc drove the 2021 Ferrari car, the SF21, for 123 laps at the Fiorano test facility, where he had previously taken two pole positions and a podium finish.
After two days of running in cold and wet weather conditions, the track improved, and Charles Leclerc, the Monegasque driver, was able to complete his entire run using slick tires.
During the test, Carlos Sainz, Leclerc’s team-mate and Frederic Vasseur, the team principal were present. Additionally, Arthur Leclerc, Charles Leclerc’s brother, who is a student at the Ferrari Driver Academy, was also present observing the test from the pit garage.
In 2023, Charles Leclerc will enter his sixth season in Formula 1, having finished the last season in second place, which is the highest position he has ever achieved in the World Championship.
Ferrari has scheduled the reveal of its 2023 car for February 14th, and official pre-season testing will begin from February 23rd to 25th in Bahrain.
For the 2023 campaign, Ferrari has kept Antonio Giovinazzi and Robert Shwartzman as its reserve drivers.
Charles Leclerc had the opportunity to test the car, and team principal Frederic Vasseur also visited his former protégé and spent time with Ferrari’s teams and crews.
The person who succeeds Mattia Binotto as the team principal of Ferrari, will face a significant challenge in maintaining the team’s performance level while improving its consistency and reliability.
It is being speculated that Ferrari will perform well in Bahrain next month, but until the event takes place, it remains uncertain.
