IMPRESSIVE FLOOR OF MERCEDES’ W12
Mercedes didn’t make a fuss about it during the press conference. ”The part we don’t show is the floor of the car. We’re all looking at what our competitors are doing, and we don’t want to make them any the wiser. We don’t have to show it yet, so we won’t,” James Allison revealed at the launch.
Now Mercedes can’t ignore it anymore, and the first images of their new floor have appeared. The floor had to be simplified for this season to reduce downforce, but on the Mercedes floor you can see that there is still a lot of detail.
AFTER MERCEDES PROBLEMS, ASTON MARTIN ALSO COMES TO A STANDSTILL
After gearbox problems for Mercedes and Haas, now the Aston Martin has also stalled with a problem. Sebastian Vettel will have to wait a while, what the problem is is unknown at this point.
Aston Martin returns to Formula 1 this season and has taken a good look at Mercedes, as did Racing Point last season. After problems for Mercedes, the Aston Martin is now also stuck in the garage after Vettel came to a standstill at the end of the pitlane.

Vettel was doing quite well in contrast to Mercedes. The German already had 39 laps on the clock, where Bottas hasn’t been out after one lap. Now, however, Vettel fell silent after Mercedes reported gearbox problems. Does Aston Martin have the same problems with Mercedes’ gearbox, or is there something else going on?
