FORMULA 1 2021 - WILLIAMS FW43B WILL BE UNVEILED ON MARCH 5

Williams became the last Formula 1 team to specify a date for the presentation of its new f1 2021 FW43B for the coming season.

Williams will unveil its 2021 Formula 1 car, the FW43B, on March 5, a week before the opening pre-season test of the new season.

Williams has finished at the root of the Constructors’ Championship for the past three seasons and failed to pick up a point through the 2020 campaign.

However, following a dispiriting 2019 marooned at the rear, Williams made gains in 2020 to make nine Q2 appearances.

It has retained George Russell, who is entering the final season of his initial three-year deal, and he will once more be partnered by Nicholas Latifi.

This year will be Williams’ first under the new stewardship of Dorilton Capital following its acquisition of the family-run team in August 2020.

Jost Capito has taken the reins as its new CEO, Simon Roberts has been appointed as Team Principal on a permanent basis, while Jenson Button will act as a senior advisor.

The team has also strengthened its ties with power unit partner Mercedes and will use the manufacturer’s gearboxes from the 2022 season.

McLaren is currently set to be the first team to launch its 2021 car, the MCL35M, on February 15, with AlphaTauri’s AT02 to be unveiled on February 19.

Alfa Romeo’s C41 will be presented on February 22 while World Champions Mercedes has outlined a date of March 2 for the launch of its W12.
