Dakar 2020 Quad Highlights – One of the world’s best quad riders, the Chilean is a three-time winner of the legendary Dakar Rally.

Ignacio Casale has been into motorsports since he was a small child and fell in love with motorbikes during his teenage years. But when competing in his first Dakar Rally, with his father as his racing partner, it was in the trucks category. By finishing in a respectable 26th place, the Chilean earned a wildcard for the 2011 edition of the race and duly chose to compete on two wheels.

In 2012 he choose to compete in the quad category, finishing fourth, and just two years later would take the title, becoming the first Chilean to win the Dakar Rally. Injury ruined his chances of defending his title the following year, but he was soon back to winning ways, taking first place at the Sealine Cross Country Rally in 2016 and coming second in the Dakar 2017 trucks category.

But it was once Casale moved back to the quad that he enjoyed most success, winning his second Dakar Rally in 2018 and then a third title two years later in 2020’s race with a dominant display in Saudi Arabia.
