HAKKINEN CLEAR ABOUT WOLFF’S PLANS

While Ferrari has been celebrating 1000 events, Mercedes’ team boss Toto Wolff explained to the media that he is considering a change in his role, with a possible restructuring of the management at Formula 1’s dominant team.
The pressure of attending every race and being 100% focused on every aspect of this sport is not easy, and I completely understand Toto’s comments about needing to achieve a better balance in his life, including with his family.
Mercedes may be whistling on its way to the seventh world title in a row, but it is not quiet behind the scenes. For example, Toto Wolff seems to be at the end of his period with the team, which may be sold.
Since Eddie Jordan’s quotes that Mercedes will be sold to INEOS, there is increasing demand for Mercedes. What is Toto Wolff going to do and who will take over the team? According to Mika Hakkinen, fans of the team at least don’t have to worry, because there is already an excellent structure in place.
Is Wolff leaving Mercedes?
”Toto announced this weekend that he’s considering a different role and that the team might be restructured. You shouldn’t underestimate the pressure to always be at every race and to perform and I understand Toto when he is looking for a better balance in his life”, says Hakkinen in his column for Unibet.com.
However, according to the two-time world champion, Mercedes doesn’t have to worry. With or without Toto, Hakkinen is convinced that Mercedes will remain a well-oiled machine. ”I’m sure that Toto will leave a structure behind, so that the team can always remain competitive,” concludes the Finn.
