F1 MONZA 2020 ITALIAN GP WEATHER FORECAST AND TIMETABLE

The Italian Grand Prix is synonymous with Monza, which was built in 1922 to host the second Gran Premio d’Italia.
The race has almost invariably been held here since, and Monza has been the scene of some remarkable F1 moments: Gerhard Berger’s emotional and odds-defying victory for Ferrari in 1988 after the death of Enzo Ferrari, and Michael Schumacher’s emotional announcement of his retirement after victory there in 2006.

From the Formula 1 teams’ point of view, different weather conditions can result in very different races, and Formula 1 teams adapt their strategy accordingly, for example using different tyres in wet conditions, and taking account of cross winds which can cause stability problems at high speeds.
It is always well worth checking the weather before any grand prix as it can often throw a curve ball into the mix, although this time Monza will most likely be a straightforward weekend. Conditions appear excellent ahead of the 2020 Italian Grand Prix weekend. The temperature for race day is expected to be around 28-29 degrees, while according to the latest forecast, there is no chance of rain for Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
However, the high temperatures could lead to tyre management difficulties, as was the case a few weeks ago in Silverstone, which means the free practice sessions will be very important to understand the behaviour of the tyres in qualifying and race simulations.
