MICK SCHUMACHER-HULKENBERG AT ALFA ROMEO IN F1 2021?

Will Alfa Romeo field a Mick Schumacher-Nico Hulkenberg pairing in F1 2021? The team will be thinking of life after Kimi Raikkonen.
Kimi Raikkonen will be 41 years when his Alfa Romeo contract runs out at the end of 2020. Mick Schumacher could be due a promotion to Formula 1 in 2021, after his 2nd year in Formula 2 in 2020, but who would be his team-mate? Alfa Romeo needs one solid driver to bring in the points while it also grooms young drivers for Ferrari
Ralf Schumacher doesn’t look too surprised when Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi both leave Alfa Romeo Racing after the last Grand Prix of the year in Abu Dhabi. Nico Hulkenberg and Mick Schumacher are two candidates to fill the vacancies at the Italian race team.
“Everyone knows about the close cooperation between Ferrari and Alfa Romeo, it would make sense to place a newcomer there”, said Schumacher to Sky. The German hopes that by 2020 there will already be someone who gets a chance in the first free practice session on Friday morning. The candidates are Ferrari-juniors Mick Schumacher, Callum Ilott and Robert Shwartzman.
he former Formula 1 driver sees that the Frederic Vasseur team has had a difficult season to date. “For Alfa Romeo things are not going so well at the moment to say the least. You don’t lose much if you let a young driver participate on a Friday”, he explains why he thinks new talent should be given the chance as soon as possible.
