BINOTTO REACTS TO WOLFF COMMENTS : THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO TALK ABOUT US

Toto Wolff regrets that Ferrari is no longer participating for the top spots of Formula 1. The Italian team is in a freefall and was one of the slowest teams to qualify for the Belgian Grand Prix.
“Ferrari is an icon in the sport, they just belong at the top”, starts Wolff, who regrets that the competition at the top is now less. “It is not good for the sport. There has to be a lot of competition. What’s more, the fans won’t be satisfied with it either, that’s also going to work against them and you’ll end up in a downward spiral”.
“They need to put their things in order and ask themselves where this is coming from. Nobody deserves this, not the mechanics and not the fans. What should be the priority? It is difficult to say. A lot goes wrong at the same time. I think it’s mainly due to a series of wrong decisions made by the same people all the time,” says Wolff, quoted by Speedweek.
Mattia Binotto does not agree with statements made by Toto Wolff about Ferrari. According to the team boss of the Scuderia, Wolff does not have to concern himself with his team. Binotto says she knows the priorities and therefore keeps no secret that things are not going well at Ferrari at the moment.
“I know that there are people in other teams who like to talk about our situation and our fans”, replies Binotto to the German Sky network. “There is nothing I should answer him. I know what is going on with our fans. I am a fan myself and I know exactly what is going on inside us,” says Binotto.
That’s not the end of the matter for Binotto. “I have been working in this factory for 25 years. We know our priorities and we know that there are no secrets in Formula 1. You just have to develop as quickly as possible and try to set the right priorities,” concludes the Italian.
