RUSSIAN GP THE FIRST RACE WITH AN AUDIENCE!

Race organizer Alexey Titov of the Grand Prix of Russia gives some promising news in a statement regarding the Sochi Autodrome which could become the first race to be public again. The CEO of ROSGONSKI, the event holder, sees the race continue in late September. “Our data will remain unchanged,” he said on the circuit’s Instagram page.
The Russian GP is on the 2020 Formula 1 calendar and is most likely the first race with an audience. Danill Kvyat cannot wait to welcome public again, especially if that is the case in his own country.
“It’s great to have some people around us again. I’m assuming of course that everything has been taken care of, so it’s safe for everyone on the track”, says the driver of AlphaTauri according to Racefans.net. The rider from Russia could use some support, now that he doesn’t want to improve his performance at AlphaTauri.
Russia is not the only country trying to get fans back on the track. In addition to sales for the GP of Russia, Portugal is also in the process of admitting people to the Portimao circuit. Earlier it already became clear that there is room for 50,000 people at Portimao, where normally almost 100,000 people can enter the circuit.
”It will be very interesting to suddenly have fans on the circuit again, because we have been doing it for quite a long time now without people in the stands. I’m looking forward to it and a home race is always a privilege for a driver”, concludes the driver from the Red Bull programme.
