TRANSFER BOMB! VETTEL WILL SAY “YES” AT SPA

Transfer bombshell – Vettel is expected to sign the contract with Aston Martin in two weeks at the Belgian Grand Prix.
Before the start of the season drivers were confirmed on all sides for 2021, but since then it has been quiet. One of the victims of that period, Sebastian Vettel, now holds the key to the further course of this ‘silly season’. He seems to set it in motion again in two weeks’ time.
At least that’s what the Krone Zeitung reports. According to their sources, Vettel will sign a contract with the current Racing Point during the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. As of next year he will be competing for Aston Martin.
Mega contract for a team in midfield
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport it would be a contract of about 15 million dollars a year. A significant salary for a driver on a midfield team. It just depends on how much the situation at Racing Point has changed. Not long ago it needed the millions that Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll brought.
The question now is what happens to those drivers. Even though the father of Stroll is co-owner of the team, it’s not certain that Perez will have to clear the field. Both father and son have indicated that an end to their collaboration is possible.
