F1 Spanish GP 2020 Qualifying Hamilton Pole – The Silver Arrows had dominated every session and they made it count when it mattered as they once again shut out the opposition. Hamilton’s time of 1:15.584 secured him a record-extending pole with Bottas just behind. Max Verstappen will start in the familiar place of P3 backed up by the two Racing Point drivers.

Alex Albon, Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly completed the top ten.

Sebastian Vettel suffered another premature elimination as he succumbed in Q2 by 0.002 of a second behind Lando Norris. It looked for a moment as if he would just scrape in but Pierre Gasly put in a stunning lap to push the German out of the safety zone. Gasly’s stunning Q2 lap ensured he out-qualified Danil Kvyat again and continued his good form.
