PEREZ ANGRY AT MADE-UP STORIES

Sergio Perez had to deal with “bullshit” stories about his return to Mexico, the hardship of coronavirus-enforced isolation, and a “difficult to digest” Racing Point legality saga during his two-race absence from Formula 1.

Perez tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the British Grand Prix. He did not when he picked up the virus but with a free weekend between F1’s two triple-headers he had travelled back to Mexico, which he said was to visit his mother who had been injured and was just out of hospital.

Sergio Perez had to sit aside two races because of a positive test on the coronavirus, but is allowed to compete again during the GP of Spain. However, all rumours about the Mexican have not been received in good soil.

However, there was soon a commotion about this report, because on social media it soon became clear that the Mexican had not only visited his mother. However, Perez finds all reports about this disrespectful.

”I find that very unprofessional and must also say that it was a lie. I flew to Mexico to visit my mother there, adhering to all safety regulations. I will get all the messages when I was in quarantine, but it’s ‘bull shit’ that I took pictures with others and made up stories about my mother. That’s just disrespectful,” Perez says according to Speedweek.com.

“Any one of us could get infected with the virus. I didn’t do anything different from the rest of the paddock, I was just unlucky. It hit me, but so did a friend of another team. It can happen to anyone, but it can’t be that people start making up stories about someone, instead of worrying about their health,” Perez concludes.
