ROSBERG VETTEL ISN T HALF A SECOND SLOWER THAN LECLERC

Nico Rosberg does not trust the current situation of Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari. The 2016 world champion thinks that there is more going on at Ferrari: “Vettel is not as slow as he seems at the moment.”

“We’re talking about a four-time world champion, Seb is not half a second slower than Leclerc”, says the former driver in Speedweek. Rosberg thinks the Italian race stable is the culprit. “Something must be wrong at Ferrari. Vettel has to request a new chassis immediately”.

Previously, team boss Mattia Binotto already stated that ‘it is being discussed’ whether Vettel is eligible for a new car. “We are open to anything that helps him. It is important that Vettel can perform better”, Binotto says.

Rosberg to RTL: “Seb’s team radio shows how tense the situation at Ferrari is. But he should fight now, also as a sign to possible future teams. He has to put his foot down at Ferrari and ask for a new car!”

“Sebastian is one of the best drivers of all time and he is not half a second slower than Charles. There must be something fundamentally wrong with the car. Sebastian just has to assert himself now.”
