VETTEL AT RED BULL, VILLENEUVE’S CHOICE
What future for Sebastian Vettel? This is the question of the Formula 1 transfer window. For Jacques Villeneuve, however, it is obvious, he must return to Red Bull!
Jacques Villeneuve sees Sebastian Vettel driving next to Max Verstappen at Red Bull Racing as a strong team. The former Formula 1 driver thinks that this is mainly thanks to Adrian Newey.
Nevertheless, the chance that Vettel will be with the Austrian racing team next season seems to be very small.
The Canadian is very positive about Newey. “He always builds cars that are on the limit. You clearly see the differences between Verstappen and Alexander Albon”, says Villeneuve in conversation with Speedweek.com.
That could be Vettel’s chances. “He’s shown in the past that he controls Newey’s cars very well. That makes him the perfect teammate for Verstappen. Red Bull would finally have two drivers who can drive on the limit”, Villeneuve concludes.
